Christmas Sale Loot!
I just love after Christmas sales, don't you?!
I got every single pack of ornaments from Target that I was on the hunt for.
They did not have the pink Christmas lights OR the white Christmas tree that I wanted. I guess I'll just have to pay full price for them next year. I think these fabulous colors will really pop on a white tree next year!
Speaking of trees.. Have you ever heard of Treetopia?
This website is insane! They have every tree, in every color, that you could ever think of!
Pretty cool...!
So, Did you rack up and get anything good during the after Christmas sales?
P.S. Christmas pictures still coming soon! :)
P.S. Christmas pictures still coming soon! :)

Oh, Christmas Tree.. Brianna Edition!
I never showed off Brianna's tree that she had in her bedroom.
I just love it!
We took a simple Tinkerbell tree and gave it some glam!
I got this tree several years ago.. She's gotten a bit older and we wanted to make it more big-girl-girly, if ya know what I mean? ;)
Simple bow tied cute on top.. I love the idea of using ribbon instead of an angel or star..
Her {B} ornament found in the $1 section of Michael's.. She loves pearls!
(So my girl!)
We added some hot pink pretties.. bought from Michael's for $.14. Anything & everything is better when there's glitter involved! ;)
Christmas pictures coming soon! :)

A Holiday Pretty To Cherish.
I was super excited to get this.. (yeah, I'm one of those moms that keep stuff like this for years on hand!).. John Noah brought home his very first handmade Christmas ornament from school. Of course, the teachers at school had a big hand in making these for the mommies, but I adore it.. silly grin picture and all.. He's my sweet baby boy! But only 'Mama's Baby!'. Other than that, 'Imma Big Boy!'. :)

My Little Box Was Blue!
Ask any Tiffany's loving girly girl her preference on jewelry packaging and I bet she responds in the form of this...

All wrapped up in something like this...

to reveal something new that sparkles in the light... or something that happen's to look like this..

That just happens to the the pretty that I received over the weekend from someone very special to me! Ever since I could remember, I've always wanted a special something that would be given to me in a Little Blue Box. I finally had someone listening. This gift is so special to me.. opening it, I wanted to cry but didn't want to seem silly.. it fits & looks perfect!
I am truly grateful!
ps. My gift to the giver was equally as awesome!
This most defiantly is a Christmas neither of us will ever forget!

Welcome to Friday's Shoegasm..
Where a new shoe that I adore is featured every Friday.
Enjoy!

Ruffles are all the RAGE this season..
You see them everywhere and on everything!
I came across these fab shoes here. I want them! I want them in black, blue, red. Is it a bit obsessive to have the same shoe in 3 colors? Anyway, I'm headed to my local JC Penny's this weekend to see if I can find them. If not, then I plan to order the blue ones online.
Olsenboye 'Sofia' Ruffled Platform T-Strap on sale for $29.99..
If you don't already own shoes with some sort of ruffle on them, go out and buy these.. Do it now! I'm tellin ya, it's the rage! Ruffles, in any form, spruce up an every day outfit. At least I think they do! :)
Happy Friday Y'all!

DIY: Custom Monogram Christmas Ornaments
I got the inspiration for these adorable ornaments from here.
Such a simple 'pretty' to make.. I decided that one for each of the ladies in my office would be a perfect little gift.
I just heart the way they turned out & each of the ladies enjoyed getting a little Christmas pretty on a gloomy Thursday.
Supplies Needed:
clear craft ornaments
pretty ribbon
colored scrap paper leftover from scrapbooking
black vinyl for monograms(or you can use stickers)
cricut machine to cut monograms(or you could cut by hand)
I took a bunch of scrap papers that I had leftover from scrapbooking, shredded it into strips and then cut it down to small squares that would fit into the hole of the ornament. (I used pinks/greens/black/cream colors.) Just fill as much or as little as you'd like. Instead of using messy glitter, I used a couple of sheets on pre-glittered scrap paper to put inside. This give the ornament a bit of a sparkle. Tie on your pretty ribbon, add your monogram and they're ready to be packaged all pretty.
I cut tags from my Cricut, stamped them with a snowflake, got the idea for the packaging from here, and attached a smaller copy of our Christmas card.
I forgot to get a pic of all the gifts packaged together and ready to be delivered, but I snapped a pic with my cellphone of one of the bags sitting on a co-worker's desk. :)
Voila!
Simple & Easy!

Emergency Room Visit #2

Saturday night we were at my mom's.. John Noah was watching Spiderman video's and playing around on the couch. I saw him slipping.. It was like slow motion.. I just couldn't get to him fast enough.. He feel backwards and hit his head on the coffee table. Bless his little heart!! I scooped him up, and started rocking & rubbing his head. Before I knew it, my hands were covered in blood. John Noah pops his head up and says, "I need to go to the hospital!" Like most moms do, I start freaking! Called Daddy to see where I should go. "I couldn't even think of a place to take him!" DUH.. My mom lives RIGHT down the street from a hospital. She drove us to the ER.. Daddy meets us there. And Thank Goodness he did, I was a nervous wreck even though John Noah was acting perfectly fine. We got back to see the doctor pretty quickly. John Noah told the Doctor that he "hulk smashed" the table. Obsessed with Super Hero's much?? Yep! The verdict? He needed 5 stitches that would require him being tied down, or, if we were not those parents that freak over ugly scars, they could put this super glue type stuff on his head which would bond it together. But it would not heal as pretty as stitches would. It was less painful, we'd be able to wash his hair right away, it required no special attention, made for less tears, it was the doctor's top choice.. so we went with that. He still cried a bit when they had to hold his head down. But overall, he was such a brave little guy! The wound is in the back(I'll spare you pictures!). They had to cut a bit of hair around it in order to apply the glue. He was in need of a haircut anyway. So for the most part, the wound is pretty much covered up by his hair. Tylenol is helping for the pain. But my nerves are insane! I'm on major head guard! I'm so afraid he's going to hit it on something or somebody (ie. big sister) will hit him in the head. Hopefully, after a few more days pass, I won't be so nervous about it. He's 3 years old, this is our second trip to the ER. Brianna is 8, she's NEVER been (knock on wood!). He's 100% boy, that's for sure!

The next morning.. He was in great spirits!
He put a baby wipe on the bottom of his mop like a Swiffer.. HA!
(please excuse the poor picture quality. They were taken w/ my iphone.)

Friday's Shoegasm #7

Welcome to Friday's Shoegasm..
Where a new shoe that I adore is featured every Friday.
Enjoy!

I love everything glitter! If it sparkles in the light.. I'm in love!
So how could I not love these when walking past the Aldo window in the mall the other day? If I hadn't been in such a rush, I would have gone in to try them on. I think they'll be perfect with the New Year's Eve outfit that I've already bought. ;)
SINICKI pumps, on sale for $84.98..
In my opinion, Aldo shoes run a bit bigger. But hey, that could just be me. But I'd advise looking for a store in your area to try these bad boys on before ordering them online.
If you're not all that into things that glitter in the light, check out their website. They have TONS of adorable shoes marked down right now.
I heart them!
Happy Friday Y'all!

[TCP] Going Away Soiree.
One of my very best friends is moving to Connecticut later this month.. :(

But I guess that's what you get when you become best friends w/ a Navy wife.

As you all know, I work part-time at The Children's Place.
(BFF that's moving also works there PT.)

A bunch of us TCP gals got together this past weekend for a last night soiree w/ Nicolette before she leaves.

We danced, we sang, we drank.. LOTS! We had such a great time. I'll be so, so sad to see her go.. She's been a really great friend through one of the most difficult times in my life. I love her dearly. But I'll be so, so glad when I get to visit her sometime this coming up Summer in her new (not new to her, but to me) city.

I know, I know.. Enough with the flat boots already!
But how yummy are these bad boys???
From Piperlime..
Frye Paige Clovertab Cuff boots have EXCELLENT reviews if you can afford the price tag.

In case you were wondering...
Here are 25 random things that make me me..
1. I have lots going on, but I feel like most of it is too boring to tell you about.
2. I could eat cinnamon toast every single morning for breakfast.
3. I've never been on an airplane. I have a HUGE fear of flying.
4. I know nothing about sports. It's not that I don't like them, it's just that no matter how much people try to explain stuff to me, I just don't get it.
5. All I want for Christmas is a Girl's weekend away with my closest friends.
6. All I want to do during that weekend is drink wine, gossip & scrapbook.
7. I am exceptionally crafty.
8. I started my first ever, real grown-up job, a few months ago. I love the money but I miss staying at home. It's horrible, but it's not the kids I miss. It's the lunches, shopping & hanging with the girls that I miss most.
9. I miss being a SAHM but I also love the new people I've met since I started working.
10. I work part-time at The Children's Place. People always think that my entire check goes right back into the company. Truth is, I hardley ever buy stuff. Maybe once a month or so.. maybe. But after working with the clothes all the time, you get sick of looking at them and don't want to have to see them on your children too.
11. I also never buy anything regular price there. I always wait until it goes on sale.
12. Despite my best efforts, I have been taken over by baby fever. I think I want 2 more. Well, at least 1 for sure.
13. I am currently going through a divorce. It was extremely rough at first, but things are starting to settle. Meaning, we're getting along.. for today.

Hence, I could never be a public speaker.

19. I rarely call my children by their names. Brianna goes by Nana, Sister, Bri or Chick. John Noah goes by JoWah, Little Man or Dude.
20. I have a love hate relationship with my mom. Most days I'd rather wash my hands of her just so I don't have to deal with her drama. But well, what can I say, she's my mom.
21. I love shopping but hate going to the grocery store.
22. I am terrible at leaving messages,I almost always forget to leave an important part to the message and have to call back.

Jacob as a Barbie?

This past August the Twilight Edward & Bella dolls were released by Mattel.. Up next, Jacob dolls for all the Mommy's to drool over collect.. Or if you have a little girl that still likes to play with Barbies. (Mine is so not into the Twilight barbies! She says, "Mom, Edward is okay.. But I HATE his big eyebrows!" Duh, I didn't even notice the guy had eyebrows! That's the least of my focus! She totally gets that from her Dad. He's obsessed with eyebrows. One of the features he's quick to point out on people. I have no idea why.. it's weird, really.)
Lovin the cutoff shorts, super toned abs and seductive face that this barbie doll is toting.
$24.99 it can be yours in February.
Personally, I think it would have sold better as a life-size blow up.. I'm just sayin..
