How about that?
A Things To Try Thursday project that I actually completed.. Be excited, I know I am!
I posted about this project here. It's actually been done for quite a few weeks now, I just haven't gotten around to uploading the pictures.
So fun and simple to add artwork to the kiddos bedroom.
I had helping hands with this project, which makes it even more special!
I love the bright colors in this, they tie in so well with the decor in their bedroom.
Most of the supplies is stuff I had on hand..
-I bought a {2} pack of canvases from Michael's
(they were on sale for $4)
-Mod Podge
-Scrapbook Paper
-Colorful Paints
First I cut out my circles. (I just cut a bunch in different prints that I like. I had lots leftover) Then I arranged the circles on the canvas. After I got them in the pattern I liked, I snapped a quick picture so I wouldn't forget how I had them. Next I soaked the whole canvas in mod podge, added the circles, then a top layer of mod podge. (Let dry over night.) Next, I added black circles around each piece of pattern paper; since I knew I wanted black as my base color. (Let dry overnight.) Last Step, I grabbed a bunch of different colored paints and painted ardouns random circles. (With help, of course!) I didn't go in any certain order. We just did what we thought looked best. I let these dry completely for a couple of days before hanging.
I'm {lOVing} the finished product!

Oooh! I'm loving them too! Nothing beats the sales at Michael's when they have canvas on. One time I got like 6 canvases for 10 bucks or something?! Crazy!
VERY CUTE! I am going to feature this on my blog!
Very cute!! Nice work :)
That looks AWESOME!
I'm totally going to try this for my kiddos!
How could something so simple (circles) be so stinkin' cute!!! I love it! Your blog is fantastic... from the name, to the design, to the posts! You've got something good going on here. I can't wait to come back. I am following now! :)
I love how that looks, that's going to look great on the wall and it's oh-so-colorful!! Thanks for the idea. I'm going to do one for my daughter's room!!

Just wanted to come back and tell you I did this today and I'm SO happy with the finished product. Thanks for sharing this with us!!
I found a link to your blog from Sumo's Sweet Stuff, and I am glad I did!
This is an awesome idea! My 5yo is always asking to do projects "together" and regular collages were definitely getting old. Thanks for the inspiration!
I am trying this technique with all of my daughters artwork from school that I want to save, but also want displayed...such as cute handprint crafts and other things she has made in school.
