prayers for the south.

while my heart breaks for those that suffered the outbreaks of the tornadoes..
{i have a co-worker who's son attends the University of Alabama}
and i know many news stations are swept up in the Osama headlines..
some of the worst news/weather may not be over for us near the big ole' Mississippi!

the South continues to get downpours of rain, causing much concern for later this week when the Mississippi River and the channel rivers are expecting to peek at possible recording breaking levels.

many areas around Memphis are already flooded and we are not even the peak!
they are expecting the storm drains to reach their max and to start backing up into the streets/neighborhoods sometime laster this week.
it's pouring down raining even as i type this.

my home isn't in one of the direct 'flood zones' but i do have a friend that is in jeopardy.

say a prayer for the South.
mother nature sure is having her way with us!!

here are a few pictures from around my city.. Memphis, TN.

I live in Trenton,TN which is about 2 hours from Memphis so I know what you are talking about when you say flooding! It has been raining non-stop. My back yard has a mini river.

As I'm typing this, it's raining its ass off in Arlington. When will it end?

I know what you're talking about! We crested up here a few weeks ago, but I imagine it'll be even worse for you than it was for us, being you're so much farther downriver. Thinking of you all!
