I totally get the part about blogging just for fun. I don’t know how the people do it all day, every day on every single social media site. I’m not in a race for followers. I don’t look at my stats. I appreciate blog friends and comments, but I don’t get upset either. I’m a stay at home mom and I use it as an outlet, even if most things I write about are trivial, it’s fun for me. I hate the rallies for more followers, the “hey look at me” tactics (the above one included!), the sponsors (!!) and the cliques. OMG. The cliques!!! I felt like that post was just like the people on Facebook who write vague status updates to fish for people to comment and ask questions. It is attention seeking. But I think all bloggers want some sort of attention or we wouldn't blog. I just like the ones that aren't so desperate for it.

And holy cow, some of these comments!!!

I'm a new follower because I totally appreciate your honesty. I thought the same as you, "what is the point of this post?" but I'm okay with it. I don't care if she wrote it bc that's all she felt comfortable sharing on the blog. I don't care if she wrote it for blog followers- not my business. But, I get where you are coming from too. Good thing the blog world has different personalities, people, agendas. If a post frustrates me, I move on. You'll get a lot of people who applaud you and a lot of people who bash you for your post. The blogging world is about free speech, but they'll always be "sides" which I refuse to take. You know what hey say, though, "don't mess with Texas" haha jk

I love reading your blog because you seem real. I am the same as you, I blog for myself, not for freebies and to gain extra followers.

I agree with you about that the blogger may have wrote to get attention BUT at the same time, blogging is about sharing your own experiences and opinions. I think if she was comfortable putting her personal story out there to gain more followers then good for her, personally I wouldn't do that and since you said that's not something you would do either, I would just stop following her blog and keep doing your thing on your blog :)

This post is the epitome of "I want attention." So how are you going to go and accuse someone of exactly that?

Let me just say, you are more than free to write this post. I credit you for HONESTY - but that's it. After all, isn't that the beauty of blogging? I do, however, think you are heartless to re-post such a tragic piece of information for nothing other than to bash someone's spirits.

That blogger went out on a limb to invest her own feelings into a post. Whether you like it or not, you no fucking right to put her personal loss on blast for your own benefit (of attention-which you deny).

Another thing. I've seen very few comments that "back you up" per say.. and all the other e-mails, texts, etc. that "agree" with you. I don't believe it. I think you are a liar. I think you are hiding behind this little computer screen and have no real evidence. Something a coward would do.

If you don't like how someone acts on their blog - whether it be topics, sponsors, comments, or followers, then simply UNFOLLOW. But YOU, you are the hypocrite here.

Yes, you are just a mean girl. You're attacking a sweet girl for not wanting to disclose such a personal matter on her blog. We share as much or as little as we want on our blogs. I have almost the exact same thing scheduled for tomorrow relating to blog drama and the like.

I offer sponsors (not successfully..ha) but so much of blogging lately has been a race for this and blog drama that. And I fully think that some people just like to fuel the fire in many of these instances. It's really quite pathetic. I don't have alot of time to blog and when I do I hate when it's full of dumb shit.

Regarding the whole thing between you and the other blogger, I'm not even going to comment because I really like both of you girls as bloggers and to be honest I really could care less what people choose to share with me. To each their own.

But I do know that blog drama is for the birds and everybody needs to grow the fuck up and stop worrying about this dumb shit.

So I was trying to figure out why what you wrote here gets under my skin a little. And I think it's because it does come across as mean-spirited and under the guise of not caring when you seem to care very much.

I'm not familiar with the blog you're referring too at all, but i have always found it frustrating when a blogger shares parts of the story but not all of it, kind of hinting at what's going on and not just saying what's happening. You get to pick and choose what you share with the internet, but writing vaguely about it just doesn't seem that worth while and does seem a bit attention grabbing.

If you have such a problem with said blogger (it's obvious you do because you are clearly aggressively bashing her two days in a row worth of posts), why are you even reading her posts? There's an awesome thing called "UNFOLLOWING." Seems to me like you're doing what you were preaching against (the whole "begging for attention" thing). This post seems like a scream for attention.
